Water lilies are so pretty! There are about 70 species are the world and they live in freshwater in temperate and tropical climates. A giant variety is found in South America.
The Mexican water lily
is native to the gulf coast of North America and has become so widely
planted it is considered an invasive plant in some areas, like the
California's San Joaquin Valley.
